From the moment MID handed me a copy of The Greening of Paradise Valley—a history book they had commissioned for their centennial—I knew this project would be special. I would have to become an expert in the history of one of the first irrigation districts in the country in order to accurately tell this story.
The goal was to relay 130 years of history in a way that's accurate, but still compelling. I used a variety of techniques and styles to keep the viewer's attention smoothly moving through each moment of MID's 130 year timeline.
